Sonic CD is hard. Then again this is my first day. It took me several months to learn how to beat Sonic 3 with all emeralds in just a few hours. But man this game has such a kickass soundtrack.

Today is Vox's first anniversary since the official launch.  What's the best experience you've had on Vox in the past year?

I had the chance to vent and nobody came running in to throw salt on my wounds.

Dr. Randy Pausch, diagnosed with terminal cancer, delivered a last lecture on life lessons that has been viewed online over a million times.  What would be in your life lessons lecture?

A lot of the things we do are for people who aren't around to benefit from them yet. Just like those before you who tried to make the world better for you, even though you weren't but a dream. Honor that.

The other day I found my old decrepit Sonic 3 tips book from Brady Games, written by Corey Sandler. It has a small guide for Sonic CD in the back, and I looked through it knowing that I was within a week or so of obtaining a copy of Sonic Gems which has Sonic CD on it, and after 10+ years of buying the guide I would finally be playing the game. There was a little paragraph, however, talking about the theme song, which at the time of the book's publication could only have been the Japanese one. Mr. Sandler felt that the music that plays during the story-based animation "could use some work" and was "almost as bad as a certain dinosaur's theme song".
